Plant Care

Hoya

Hoya, also known as Wax Plant, is a vining plant prized for its thick, waxy leaves and fragrant, star-shaped flowers. It is a hardy, low-maintenance plant that thrives in the right conditions.

Watering

Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Allow the soil to dry out between waterings, as Hoyas are drought-tolerant and sensitive to overwatering. Ensure proper drainage to prevent root rot.

Light

Prefers bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some direct morning sun, but too much harsh sunlight can scorch the leaves. Low light may reduce flowering.

Fertilizer

Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during the growing season. A fertilizer higher in phosphorus can encourage blooming. Reduce feeding in fall and winter.

Temperature

Thrives in temperatures between 65°F and 80°F. Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature changes, as these can slow growth and affect flowering.
