Plant Care
Succulents
Succulents are beloved for their thick, water-storing leaves and ability to thrive in dry conditions. Known for their diverse shapes, sizes, and colors, they add visual interest to any space, from small desk arrangements to expansive gardens. Their low-maintenance nature and adaptability make them perfect for beginners and seasoned plant enthusiasts alike. With proper care, succulents can grow into striking, long-lasting displays that bring a touch of the desert indoors.
Watering
Water your succulents when the soil has dried out completely. Succulents are drought-tolerant and prefer infrequent, deep watering. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it’s essential to let the soil dry thoroughly between waterings.
Light
Succulents thrive in bright, direct light for at least 4-6 hours daily. While some can tolerate lower light, prolonged exposure to dim conditions may result in leggy growth and loss of vibrant coloration. Rotate your succulents periodically to ensure even light exposure.
Fertilizer
Succulents prefer warm temperatures between 60°F and 80°F and can tolerate higher temperatures with adequate airflow. Avoid exposure to frost or temperatures below 50°F, as most succulents are sensitive to cold.
Temperature
Feed your succulents with a diluted, low-nitrogen fertilizer once a month during the growing seasons of spring and summer. Avoid fertilizing in fall and winter when growth slows.
